Mumbai, Dec. 3 The Managing Director of Tata Steel, Mr B. Muthuraman, was conferred the Jamsetji Tata Award for the year 2008. The award was presented to him by Mr Ajay Shankar, Secretary DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, at the Society's annual conference at Gurgaon. The award is in recognition of his contribution in successfully managing business through quality processes and developing the culture of the society that it operates in. This award was also to acknowledge his efforts in excellence towards constant improvement in quality, Tata Steel said. Mr Muthuraman, dedicating the award to the employees of the company, said "Tata Steel as company has always aimed at improving quality on a continuous basis.
