Darsana book fair set to conclude

Kottayam, Dec. 4

The Kerala Governor, Mr R.S. Gavai, will deliver the keynote address at the concluding session of 25th Darsana International Book Fair on Friday. The new Vice-Chancellor of the M.G. University, Dr Rajen Grurukkal, will preside. Over a lakh book lovers visited the fair. The cultural meetings, media seminar, poets' meet etc were special features of the event this year which concludes on December 7. The participating publishers expressed satisfaction over the increasing number of literary enthusiasts visiting the pavilions and the increase in the sale of books recorded this year, said Fr. Thomas Puthusserry, Director, Darsana Cultural Centre, organiser of the book fair. The fair for the first time introduced the concept of book tourism, he said. - Our Correspondent
