Sandvik goes for 5-day week

Pune, Dec. 5 An official statement from Sandvik Asia Ltd, a company in the tooling, mining and construction and material technology segment, has stated that to adjust the workload of Pune production unit, it would reduce weekly working days from six days to five.

This has been agreed with Sandvik Asia Employee Union. Keeping in view the current business scenario Sandvik Asia Employee Union has been co-operative with the management in implementing such measures, it added.
