Anti-dumping Dumping duty on Chinese sulphur New Delhi, Dec. 6 The Finance Ministry has notified the definitive antidumping duty on imported sulphur black from China, which is mainly used for dyeing cellulose fibre and is also useful for dyeing viscose staple fibre and yarn, paper and leather. In its December 3 notification, the Finance Ministry said that following the recommendation of the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry on September 24 that the subject goods from China have entered the Indian market below their normal price from the exporting country's domestic market, it said that the anti-dumping duty would be from the date of imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty from April 11. Recommending the imposition of definitive measure as an ad valorem duty to be worked out as a percentage of the c.i.f. (cost, insurance and freight) value of imports of sulphur black from China, it said the dumping duty amount would be 40.5 per cent of c.i.f. value in Indian rupee in the case of the Chinese firm Dalian Green Peek Chemicals Co Ltd, 41.3 per cent of c.i.f. value in Indian rupee in the case of Shanxi Linfen Dyeing, while all other exporters from China must fork out an anti-dumping duty of 116.8 per cent of c.i.f. value in Indian rupee. - Our Bureau More Stories on : Anti-dumping | Chemicals
