DLF seeks de-notification of Delhi IT SEZ

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Dec. 8 Real estate company DLF Ltd has approached the Government seeking de-notification of its yet-to-be-constructed IT SEZ in Delhi.

The request for de-notification has come on the back of falling demand for commercial office space, and also keeping in view the current international environment.

Sources said while the demand for IT office space is going down, the land is at a prime location in Delhi and can hence be utilised for other projects, particularly since it is close to the Central Business District. It may be recalled that DLF had bought about 25 acres of land contiguous to the Swatantra Bharat Mills (SBM) plot, way back in 2005.

DLF is the largest commercial real estate developer in the country and has an ambitious blueprint for this segment.
