Maytas gets Godavari water project

Hyderabad, Dec. 9

Maytas Infra Ltd has announced that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has entrusted the company with the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme project worth Rs 169.50 crore. The mandate is to execute the project in joint venture with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL). The total value of the project is Rs 809.62 crore and Maytas Infra's share is 20 per cent of the value that is Rs 169.50 crore. The project will be executed in Kondapak and Ghanpur along Karimnagar road near Hyderabad. The work entails transmission of 735 million litres per day of treated Godavari water from reservoir. The Chief Executive Officer of Maytas Infra, Mr P.K. Madhav, in a statement said "This project will have a significant impact on the lives of the people in Greater Hyderabad providing access to safe drinking water." - Our Bureau
