FinTech 100, which does annual ranking of IT providers within the financial services industry, has placed Patni Computer Systems at the 35th position among the top 100 global entities and positioned it among the top 10 insurance technology vendors in 2008. Patni has, according to a release, consistently improved its ranking in the FinTech 100 by moving from the 45th rank in 2007 and the 60th rank in 2006.

This is the fifth year of FinTech 100, and each ranking is categorised and evaluated based on calendar year (2007 year-end) revenues and the percentage of revenues attributed to financial services. “We have made substantial investments over the last two years in creating solutions, frameworks, processes and methodologies tailored to the needs of diversified financial services organizations,” Mr Mohan Hastak, Senior Vice-President, BFSI, Patni, said.
