Kerala Builders Forum to hold property expo

Our Bureau

Kochi, Dec. 15 Amid the gloom witnessing in the real estate sector, Kerala Builders Forum is organising a three-day Kerala Property Expo from December 19 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium here.

The expo promises a golden opportunity for investors to meet more than 50 reputed builders under one roof, showcasing luxury villas, apartments and commercial and retail spaces coming up in some of the most coveted locations in the State.

A spokesperson of the builders’ forum said in a release that the expo offers investors a proven investment option with excellent facilities and amenities.

The property value in Kerala has appreciated over 35 per cent yearly and moreover banks offer up to 85 per cent of housing loans with easy repayment of up to 15 years.

Shielded from crisis

The release also pointed out that the shake up witnessed in the property sector in the country has had limited impact on the Kerala scene.

The State realty market is predominantly user driven, has genuine investors and is not speculative, which is one reason for consistent growth in demand for residential property.

The sector is organised, with the housing sector being promoted by professional builders, who abide by the stringent guidelines.

The rental scenario in the State is also becoming increasingly attractive given increasing urbanisation and inflow of floating population from other States.

Kerala has witnessed a steady annual appreciation of over 5 per cent in rental rates, making investing returns attractive, the release added.
