New Products & Services Lancome store in Bangalore Bangalore, Dec. 15 Luxury beauty brand Lancome opened its counter at Bangalore, its 10th in the country. The brand, which has a nine per cent share worldwide, has already been launched in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. Ms Julie De Clermont Tonnerre, Marketing Manager – Luxury Products Division, L’Oreal India, said that the company’s focus would be New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for 2009, with plans for four more counters in these cities – two in Mumbai and one each in D elhi and Bangalore. Currently, the brand has six counters in Delhi, two in Mumbai and one each in Pune and Bangalore. The company would look at expanding into Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai in 2010, she added. “We are open to looking at all models of retailing – stand-alone or shop ‘n’ shop. We have to be pragmatic and we are quite flexible,” said Mr Dinesh Dayal, Director – Luxury Products, L’Oreal India.
