Our Bureau Hyderabad, Dec. 15 Maruti Suzuki India has launched Green Cabs for urban motoring on the Maruti 800 AC Duo powered by LPG. The Green Cabs, fitted with a GPRS system attached to a call centre to monitor the vehicle’s movements, will have the lowest taxi fare in the category. The interiors have been spruced up with luxurious seat covers and a trendy parcel tray with a covered luggage carrier. On Saturday, the keys to the first Green Cab Maruti 800 AC Duo was handed over to Mr Swarupchand Kothari, Promoter of Green Cabs, by the Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister, Mr Kanna Laxminarayana, and Mr R.S. Kalsi, Chief General Manager (Sales), Maruti Suzuki. Mr Kalsi, said “Dual fuel vehicles have always formed a prominent part of our overall product strategy. The car is economical and being factory fitted, it is completely safe.” The Green Cabs are fitted with a GPRS system attached to a call centre to monitor the vehicle’s movements.
