Coimbatore, Dec. 17

Patel Engineering Ltd, a civil infrastructure construction company, has communicated to the NSE that it has bagged the single largest irrigation project in India – the Pranahita-Chevella Lift Irrigation-package 6- for Rs 3,859 crore from the Andhra Pradesh Government in consortium with BHEL and Navyuga Construction. The Pranahita Lift Irrigation scheme seeks to divert about 160 TMC water from river Pranahita to irrigate an area of 12,20,000 acres in the drought prone areas of Telangana region.
