Patni ropes in Jeya Kumar as CEO

Mumbai, Dec. 18

Mr Jeya Kumar, the former Chief Executive Office of Bangalore-based Mphasis, has been roped in as the CEO of Patni Computer Systems. Mr Kumar, who will join in February next, will be responsible for driving the company's operations, Patni said in a communication to the stock exchanges.

Post this appointment, the current Chairman and CEO of Patni, Mr Narendra Patni, will continue as Chairman of the company's board of directors. Mr Loek van den Boog, who was appointed as Patni's Executive Director earlier this year, will hand over the operational responsibilities to Mr Kumar and continue as a non-executive director on the company's board.- Our Bureau
