SriLankan to suspend flights to 4 cities

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 19 SriLankan Airlines is “temporarily suspending” flights from Colombo to four Indian cities from January 15.

The airline is suspending flights to Kochi, Kozhikode, Coimbatore and Hyderabad, a company official confirmed.

Flights are likely to be resumed by March-end by when more new aircraft may be inducted into the fleet, the official added.

The flights are being suspended as part of the airline’s ‘re-fleeting’ programme under which it is introducing several new aircraft and retiring older aircraft.

There will be no change in flights to other destinations .
