Natural gas: GAIL calls for buyers

Chennai, Dec. 20

GAIL (India) Ltd has over 20,000 SCMD of natural gas for sale from the Mattur gas fields of ONGC, according to press release from GAIL. The gas from the Cauvery Basin, Tiruvarur district, is available for prospective consumers interested in utilising the natural gas. The last date for the receipt of offers is December 27, the release said. More details are available on GAIL’s Web site – www.gailonline.com, the release sa id. The natural gas is available for seven years at a delivery pressure of 5 kg/cm2 with the first date of delivery set as September 1, 2009. The estimated price of gas would be Rs 8,500/1,000 SCM ex-ONGC installation. Gas price is linked to 10,000K.Cal/SCM and is subject to revision after one year. Buyers should indicate there level of readiness to draw gas and time when they expect to start drawing.
