Foreign Trade S. Africa is partner country for CII’s tech fair in Feb Our Bureau New Delhi, Dec. 20 The Confederation of Indian Industry has signed on South Africa as partner country for the 18th International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF). The B2B fair is to be held at Bengaluru in February. This is the second time that South Africa will be participating as ‘Partner Country’ in IETF. The organisers expect about 45 South African companies and institutions to participate. The Department of Trade and Industry, South Africa, has identified India as natural trade partner and its participation as partner country is part of its strategy to aggressively position South Africa as an alternative supplier of technology products, said a CII release. Growing relations“India-South Africa economic relations have been growing rapidly and the momentum has especially picked up over the last five years. Bilateral trade has grown rapidly rising from $1.8 billion in 2001-02 to $6.2 billion during 2007-08,” said CII. More Stories on : Foreign Trade | Events
