Mahindra Forgings may close Chakan unit for 10 days

Coimbatore, Dec. 23 Mahindra Forgings Ltd has said that on account of ongoing economic slowdown, forging industry is experiencing a decline in demand and it has been decided to align company’s production with reduced demand for December 2008 and January 2009 which may result in shutdown of the plant at Chakan for around 5-10 days in both the months.
