Poor rainfallProduction would have been still higher had it not been for the poor rainfall in the month. “The rainfall received in November was very less compared to 10-year decennial average for the month,” Dr Radhakrishnan said. Kotagiri received the highest rainfall of 10.1 cms against 14.1 cms in November 2007 and the decennial average of 32. 3 cms, followed by Coonoor 9.6 (9.5 and 30), Kullakamby 7.3 (8.4 and 26.4) and Kundah 6 cms (4.6 and 19.7).
