Non-resident Keralites meet to discuss biz prospects

Our Bureau

Kochi, Dec. 23 Over 500 non resident Keralites (NRKs) from across the world have gathered at the inaugural convention of Ente Naadu at the Le Meridian in Kochi on Tuesday to discuss business prospects and ventures at the two-day event.

Ente Naadu is another step by the State Government to make Kerala a destination of choice for world travellers. Non resident Keralites, particularly overseas Keralites, will have an exclusive platform to partner Government-backed tourism initiatives and also explore new business avenues in tourism projects.

Delivering the keynote address, the State Tourism Minister, Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said Kerala is experiencing high growth levels and Ente Naadu is a trigger to enable NRKs to pursue their entrepreneurial ventures in their own homeland. “Kerala’s future lies in the two most dynamic industries — Information Technology and Tourism — and Kerala has surpassed the World Travel and Tourism Council prediction of 11.34 per cent per annum growth for tourism in the State,” he said.
