Sattur Chamber of Commerce and Industries has made an appeal for release of rupee notes and coins for free circulation. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, the Chamber Secretary, Mr P.T.K.A. Balasubramanian, said the shortage of Re 1 and Rs 2 coins was reflected in all business places. The non-availability of Rs 5 note was also causing inconvenience. A new Rs 25 note could be released for the benefit of the public, he said. — Our Correspondent
