 Major tourist attraction: The snowpoint of Rohtang Pass (at 13,051 ft), located 51 km from Manali, is a major tourist attraction. Located on the highway to Keylong/Leh, this pass offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view and is normally open from June to October each year — although trekkers can cross it earlier. However, a delay in the snow formation this year has helped tourists to Manali visit this pass, which is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley (as Zojila pass is a gateway to Ladakh) in mid-December. - Picture by T.E.
