IndianOil officers’ indefinite strike

Kolkata, Jan. 1

The Indian Oil Officers’ Association on Thursday reiterated its decision to go on indefinite strike beginning January 7, in protest against ‘minuscule’ hike in wages, a claim that has been contested by the Union Government. “The government has refused to accept our demand for a pay hike over and above the pay committee recommendations. Accordingly we stick to the plan to go on indefinite strike along with 12 other oil sector officers associations be ginning January 1,” Mr Tanmay Chatterjee, General Secretary, Indian Oil Officers’ Association told Business Line.
