Kochi, Jan. 5

Malabar Gold, premium retail jewellery chain in South India, and Mahendra Brothers, one of the largest manufacturers and marketeers of natural diamonds from India, launched their exclusive diamond store brand ‘Mine’ here. This is the sixth store of Mine in India and was launched by Malabar Gold’s brand ambassador and film actor Mohanlal. Among the specialities of the store are the bridal wear in most contemporary and traditional designs, 100 per cent buy -back guarantee on resale and exchange, International Gemmological Institute (IGI) certified diamond jewellery and free insurance coverage, life-long maintenance and after-sales service. The Malabar group Chairman, Mr Ahamed Khan, said that a portion of the annual turnover of the group was spent for treatment of deprived patients through Malabar Medicare Trust and among the homeless through Malabar Housing Charitable Trust on homes, irrespective of cast and creed. The group has started ‘Mine’ first in Bangalore and later opened another store there, besides one each at Hyderabad, Mangalore and Erode. The group has also plans to launch ‘Mine’ stores across the country in another three years, he said.
