‘Health Saver’ from ICICI Pru

Our Bureau

Coimbatore, Jan.5 ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched a ‘Health Saver’ health insurance product.

The product, while covering the insured for the present, invests for the future and guarantees cover till 75 years of age. The premium, up to a maximum of Rs 15,000, is eligible for deduction under Section 80 D of the Income Tax Act.

“Increasing healthcare costs and growing awareness about the importance of preventive care has led to a plan that covers not just hospitalisation expenses but also provides reimbursement for all kinds of medical expenses. This health insurance product suite meets health insurance needs ranging from disease-specific products to hospitalisation products,” its Assistant Vice-President, Mr Minoo Sinha, said.

The health saver, he said, “integrates health and savings. The customer would be able to build a health fund to meet his future healthcare needs.

It allows claims against out-patient treatment, diagnostics and dental care, amongst others, after three years. Further, it is structured to receive guaranteed coverage up to 75 years of age against actual medical expenses incurred due to hospitalisation.”
