SEBI role faulted in Satyam crisis

The performance of the regulatory agency SEBI leaves a lot to be desired and “its failure” is very evident in the Satyam affair, said Mr E.A.S. Sarma, former Energy Secretary and retired IAS official.

Mr Sarma, who has several key positions, said here on Wednesday that it was unfortunate that “SEBI had not even suspected fire, though there was so much smoke.”
