Our Bureau Hyderabad, Jan. 8 Braving gloom and uncertainty facing them, scores of Satyamites, today put up a show of solidarity in front of its offices across the city and elsewhere in the country. In a HR initiative launched by the crisis-ridden Satyam Computer Services called ‘Spirit of Satyam’, employees came out of their offices at precisely 4 p.m. to exercise two options to exhibit their solidarity. As they walked into the campuses, some Satyamites dipped their palms in green paint cans and stamped their impressions, while others signed with some remarks, showing solidarity to the new leadership and the company which is facing the question of survival. It was a case of emotional bonding to the company. The event took place across 30 locations in the country and roughly 25,000 employees participated, an official of Satyam told Business Line. At the Satyam Infocity headquarters in Madhapur, around 1,000 of the 1,200 employees participated. The company has 11 centres in the city itself, he said. Meanwhile, Mr Ram Mynampati, Interim CEO, Satyam, has said that there was no truth in reports that there was an exodus from the company. “Following the normal attrition rates, only 2,000 people have left,” he said. He, however, admitted that there were not many additions this quarter. In the last one week itself about 110 had put in their papers, sources said.
