Simplex Projects bags Libyan deal

Kolkata, Jan. 8

Simplex Projects Ltd, a Kolkata-based civil engineering & construction company, on Thursday announced that it had been awarded a contract by the Government of Libya for development of a housing and related infrastructure project. Valued at Rs 2,000 crore, the project would include construction of housing units, schools, health centres, a mosque, a community hall and a shopping complex near Sebha, in central Libya, Mr B.K. Mundhra, Chairman & Managing Director, told newspersons here. The project comprises construction of 2,000 housing units and will be completed in 36 months from now. The payments are to be made partly in dollar term and partly in Libyan dinar. - Our Bureau
