Kolkata TiE to forge biz links with UK

Kolkata, Jan. 13

The UK India Business Council (UKIBC) has signed an agreement of partnership with the Kolkata Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) to forge closer business links with the UK. Ms Sharon Bamford, Chief Executive of UKIBC, said "The entrepreneurial spirit of Bengal is infectious and we seek to develop closer links between the two communities." Mr Shoummo Acharya, President of the TiE Kolkata Chapter, said since TiE was an organisation recognised as the nodal entity for the promotion of entrepreneurship, it was fitting that it took the initiative to develop entrepreneurship in the eastern region so that it would be looked at as a career option with more enthusiasm, says a press release. - Our Bureau
