TCS not for hiring from Satyam

Our Bureau

Mumbai, Jan. 15 TCS has said that it is not actively looking at hiring employees from Satyam Computer.

“We are well on track with our hiring outlook for the current year and the next fiscal when it comes. Historically, we have never poached from other IT companies,” said Mr N. Chandrasekaran, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of TCS. The company had, early on in the year, estimated that it would bring in between 30,000 and 35,000 heads. It clarified that it has brought in about 30,400 so far. “We are going slow on recruitment of people with experience (lateral employees).”

Moreover, even the attrition rate at the Tata group company is now showing a downward bias.

TCS has reported a 130 basis points dip in attrition in the second quarter to 11.9 per cent.
