Ramalinga Raju’s bail plea dismissed

Hyderabad, Jan. 28 The bail petition of Mr B. Ramalinga Raju, former Chairman of Satyam Computer Services, was today dismissed by a City Court.

Mr B. Rama Raju (ex-CEO) and Mr V. Srinivas (ex-CFO), also accused in the Rs 7,136-crore scam failed to get bail as the VI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mr D. Ramakrishna dismissed, their bail plea on Wednesday.

“We will decide the further course of action after going through the order which was passed today. We have the option of filing for the renewal of the bail petition in the same court or approach the next higher court,” Mr S. Bharat Kumar, counsel for the accused told newspersons.

He added that a final call will be taken up in the next two days. Meanwhile, the magistrate reserved the orders for Thursday on an appeal filed by the prosecution for granting seven-day police custody of Mr D. Gopalakrishna Raju, former General Manager of SRSR Advisory Services.
