“Homi brings expansive global experience and the highest personal integrity. He has the ability to motivate people and spark minds. He will provide the healing touch that Satyamites need.” Our Bureau Mumbai, Feb. 5 He has always been up to the challenge, even if it meant taking on Swede tennis-ace Bjorn Borg at a match in Goa, is how Novartis India’s chief Mr Ranjit Shahani describes Mr Homi R. Khusrokhan, now appointed as special advisor to scam-hit Satyam. Having spent 29 years at Glaxo Burroughs Wellcome, which was possibly his first challenge of integration, former colleagues recall Mr Khusrokhan as being affable, approachable, earthy and with a huge “likeability quotient”! A commerce graduate from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics in 1963, Mr Khusrokhan is a chartered accountant, who did his post-graduation at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He retired as Managing Director of Tata Chemicals in December 2008 and prior to that was the Managing Director of Tata Tea. He joined the Tata Group in 2001.
