New Delhi, Feb. 9 State-run equipment firm Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Monday announced it has received four contracts worth Rs 7,000 crore from three power project developers. The contracts have been placed on BHEL by NTPC Ltd, NLC Tamil Nadu Power Ltd (NTPL) and Mahagenco (State-owned generation arm of Maharashtra). “BHEL has bagged four contracts from various customers for the supply and installation of equipment for thermal power projects,” a company statement sai d. NTPC has placed orders for steam generator packages for projects in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. NTPL has placed order for setting up a thermal power plant in Tamil Nadu (Tuticorin). For the order from Mahagenco, BHEL’s scope of work involves design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the main plant package. The key equipment for the contracts will be manufactured at BHEL’s Haridwar, Tiruchy, Ranipet, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhopal and Jhansi plants. — Our Bureau More Stories on : New Business | Electrical Goods | Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd
