Aurobindo gets nod for HIV drug

Hyderabad, March 12

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received tentative approval for Lopinavir/Ritonavir tablets used in the treatment of HIV- I infection from the US Food and Drug Administration. The tablets are the generic equivalent of Abbott Laboratories' Kaletra tablets and falls under the anti retroviral (ARV) segment. They are indicated in combination with other ARV agents for trating HIV-I in adults and children above two years, the Hyderabadbased company said in a release. - Our Bureau
