New Products & Services Carotino launches premium cooking oil Our Bureau Mumbai, March 12 Carotino India, the Malaysia-based diversified JC Chang Group Company, has launched globally recognised rich premium red cooking oil brand Carotino in Maharashtra. The company intends to launch the product in other States soon. A subsidiary of Carotino SDN BHD of Malaysia, Carotino India had set the stage for launching its product by picking up 50 per cent stake in Pune-based Synergy Foods from the promoter group — Bhave family. Ms Manjusha Bhave, Managing Director, Carotino India, said, “Synergy Foods is a leader in the business of de-oiled soya lecithin with its products exported to over 14 countries. We were looking for a strategic partner, who could bring in more value-added neutraceutical products into the country.” Mr Shien Chang, Director, Carotino Malaysia, said, “Carotino Malaysia and the Synergy Foods team will work together to create a powerful partnership that’s relevant to the Indian consumer by delivering superior benefits and quality”. Carotino, a highly nutritious and 100 per cent natural oil is a blend of canola oil and red palm fruit extract. The premium cooking oil is cholesterol free and rich in natural Beta-Carotenes, Vitamin E, Omega 3, 6 Essential Fatty Acids, Co-Enzyme Q10 and Lycopene. Carotino has endorsements from The Australian Heart Foundation, The Swiss Vitamine Institute, South Africa Heart Foundation & Singapore Health Board.
