Meet on entrepreneurship

Thiruvananthapuram, April 1 The Kollam-based TKM Institute of Management and the Thiruvananthapuram chapter of the National Institute of Personnel Management are organising a seminar on entrepreneurship in the city on Friday.

Called ‘Igniting young minds’, the one-day event will be held at Technopark Thiruvananthapuram. Announcing this at a press conference in the city today, the event’s organisers said the seminar is intended to help young people, especially those in the State, become aware of the possibilities and potential that come with being an entrepreneur. In keeping with this objective, the seminar has two technical sessions – ‘Igniting young minds to make them job creators’ and ‘Employability enhancement of young management graduates,’ they added.

The seminar’s inaugural session will have addresses by a panel of speakers including Mr M. Venugopalan, Managing Director, Federal Bank Ltd; Mr Andrew Wong, President, National Incubation Network Association, Malaysia; Dr G.C. Gopala Pillai, Managing Director, Infrastructures Kerala Ltd; and Mr T.K. Shahal Hassan Musaliar, Chairman, TKM Trust.

The first session on ‘Igniting young minds to make them job creators’ will have presentations by Mr Andrew Wong and Mr Umesh Kamath, Head-HR, Allianz Cornhill Informations Services. The second session on Employability enhancement of young management graduates’ will have presentations by Mr Sunil Gupta, CEO, Collabera-Technopark, Mr Lalitha Prasad, Centre Head-Corporate Learning Centre, TCS Thiruvananthapuram, and Mr Anil Kumar, Vice-President, Reliance Fresh.
