Timbor Home to open 300 stores in two years

Our Bureau

Ahmedabad, April 1 Timbor Home Pvt Ltd, leading manufacturer-retailer of modular kitchens in India, would invest Rs 40 crore to increase the number of its stores to 300 in the next two years in the country.

Timbor currently has 72 exclusive kitchen, furniture and door showrooms and plans to take this to 300 stores. It will be closing this financial year with a top line of Rs 32 crore and has plans to double the same next year. Timbor has been rated ‘SE 1B’ by Credit Rating Information Services of India (Crisil).

In a release here, Mr Anant Maloo, Managing Director and CEO, said the ratings are the result of the company’s geographical reach and in-house production facilities. The ratings also reflect its organisational structure and a robust business model. It has recently undertaken plantation of hard wood species for its captive use by planting 10,000 saplings.

Over the next two years, it plans to take the current 25 acres under plantation to 2,000 acres. Timbor Home has also started production of Wood Log Homes – a new product for the Indian market, for weekend homes, farm houses and affordable housings.
