Our Bureau

Mumbai, April 1 Singapore Airlines and ICICI Bank launched ‘ICICI Bank Singapore Airlines Visa Platinum Credit Card’ on Tuesday.

Some of the features of the card include complementary membership to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Club and silver tier Hilton Honors Program, 5,000 KrisFlyer miles earned when used for the first time and up to 18 miles earned for every Rs 200 spent on the card and several other benefits.

Both partners are looking to tap on their existing premiere customer base. Singapore Airlines has 80,000 Kris Flyer members in India. ICICI Bank has a credit card base of 7.5 million. The premium segment accounts for about 10 per cent. This segment is the potential customer base for the credit card, Mr Sachin Khandelwal, Head of Retail Assets Group, ICICI Bank, told newspersons.

The card has an annual fee of Rs 6,000 and the bank is not targeting a very large number of customers, said Mr Khandelwal.
