APMDC nets Rs 45 cr profit in 2008-09

Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (APMDC) has recorded a turnover of Rs 150 crore with a net profit of Rs 45 crore during 2008-2009.

While the revenue increased significantly up from Rs 90.33 crore last fiscal, the net profit was marginally higher as against the previous year’s Rs 43 crore.

The Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the State-owned APMDC, Mr V.D. Raja Gopal, in a statement said that the corporation achieved all time high barytes production of 16.39 lakh tonnes during 2008-2009.

He said the corporation’s profit, which was Rs.3.38 crore in 1999-2000, has gone up to Rs 45 crore last fiscal.
