Reliance Infra’s investment plans

New Delhi, April 25

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd has outlined plans to invest Rs 1,325 crore in its two power distribution companies in Delhi over the next couple of years for strengthening their electricity distribution networks. “Out of the proposed investment, BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd (BRPL) would incur an expenditure of Rs 825 crore and BSES Yamuna Power Ltd (BYPL) Rs 500 crore,” a statement from the company said. BRPL and BYPL are the joint ventures between Reliance Infrastruct ure and the Delhi Government. These two companies distribute electricity to over 22 lakh customers in the Capital. According to the statement, over the last seven years, BSES has incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 3,790 crore — Rs 2,270 crore in BRPL and Rs 1,520 crore in BYPL.
