Corporate Governance Industry & Economy - Economic Offences
Our Bureau New Delhi, April 25 The Ministry for Corporate Affairs (MCA) is examining the report submitted by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) on the Satyam scam. The Secretary for Corporate Affairs, Mr Anurag Goel, said, “The SFIO report is now being examined. We will take action once the report has been examined.” He was speaking at the sidelines of a launch of LLPonline.in, a Web site giving information pertaining to the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) law. Mr Goel declined to comment on the findings of the SFIO. Asked why it was taking a long time for the Ministry to go into the SFIO report, he said, “We have received the report only last week. It is a complex issue. We need time to study it carefully before we take a view.” The SFIO report is based on the investigations on the information which was available. After going into the report, the Ministry will decide where all legal actions can be initiated. More Stories on : Corporate Governance | Economic Offences | Satyam Computer Services Ltd
