Strategy to strengthen SCOPE

The strategy to strengthen SCOPE (Standing Conference of Public Enterprises) came up for a review recently at a meeting which the Chairman of SCOPE, Mr Arup Roy Chowdhuri, also the Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC, had with Mr P.S. Bhattacharyya, Chairman of Coal India Ltd. Mr Bhattacharyya emphasised the need for promotion of excellence in organisations where public investment was involved. - Our Bureau
