Thiruvananthapuram, May 13

Kerala Tourism and Jet Airways have formally announced the launch of ‘Jet2Kerala’, which bundles holiday packages to Kerala with discounted tickets on Jet Airways.

The venture, which was launched in Mumbai on Tuesday, offers travellers packages to suit every budget, with accommodation options ranging from budget hotels to luxury properties and houseboats. The packages are available on Jet Airways flights from cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad to Kerala.

Jet Airways and its all-economy subsidiary, JetLite, fly to Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode in Kerala.

“We are also concentrating our efforts on the Indian market, given the increasing propensity for travel in this market. And with Jet2Kerala, we are delivering a product, whereby Kerala is more within the reach of the domestic traveller,” said Dr V. Venu, Secretary-Tourism, Government of Kerala, in a press release.

The release quoted Mr Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, as saying that the airline is “confident that the value proposition on offer will spur more travellers to visit Kerala this year.”
