Axis Bank cuts lending rate by 50 bps

Mumbai, May 14 Private sector bank Axis on Thursday cut its benchmark prime lending rate by 50 basis points from 15.25 per cent to 14.75 per cent, with immediate effect.

The bank had earlier reduced its BPLR by 50 basis points on April 1, 2009.

This reduction is likely to impact corporate and SME loan rates.
