Hardy Oil submits technical evaluation report to DGH

Our Bureau

Chennai, June 4 Hardy Oil and Gas plc, the minority partner in Reliance Industries’ Krishna Godavari fields, has said that it has submitted the technical evaluation summary report on the resource potential on the D3 and D9 exploration licences to the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons.

“It was agreed that all such reports in future shall be promptly submitted to DGH,” according to a company press release on its Web site.

It may be recalled that the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons had asked the company not to make claims till the reserves and resources had been evaluated.

Resource potential

In the release, Hardy said it had announced the publication of a technical evaluation summary report, prepared by independent petroleum consultants Gaffney, Cline & Associates Ltd on the resource potential of the D3 and D9 licences in the KG basin.

According to the release, the report contained estimates of the “resource potential” and not “reserves” or “new discoveries” as was reported in the media.

It met with officials of the DGH and Reliance Industries and submitted the report.
