Parry Infra Kakinada SEZ ready

Hyderabad, June 4 The Food Processing Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, promoted by Parry Infrastructure Co Pvt Ltd, part of the Murugappa Group, is ready to commence operations.

Spread over 250 acres, the SEZ, first such facility in Andhra Pradesh, is strategically located close to Kakinada port and many agro-input farms.

According to Parry Infra, their first customer Silk Road Sugar Pvt Ltd, had set up a Rs 325-crore sugar refinery unit in the SEZ. Taking advantage of its location, many other Indian food processing exporters have evinced interest in setting up units. Parry Infra in a statement said Andhra Pradesh is ideally located for food industries, and is home to several food ingredients, fruits, vegetables, fish and marine products, spices and rice.The private sector Kakinada port, located about 5 km from the SEZ, offers great advantage for cost-effective shipments out of India.
