Tiruchi, June 10 Developments on personality and social fronts warrant improving will power, managing time, fostering creativity, improving concentration power, nurturing perseverance and enhancing memory power, Mr P. Pattabiraman, Assistant General Manager- Human Resources, Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited, Kagithapuram, Karur, said while addressing the BL Club meeting organised recently by the Department of Management Studies, J.J. College of Engineering and Technology, Ammapettai near Tiruchi recently.

One should manage the process and not be dominated by it. Management is all about developing the ability to inspire people to do their best, through fostering self-development, personality development and social development, Mr. Pattabiraman said.

Success in self-development can be attained through improving abilities and imbibing the right personality traits. Goal-setting is an essential part of self-development, he said, suggesting that one must learn to accept potentials and drawbacks, and proceed accordingly. Intelligence, wisdom and vigour enables growth of positive potentials, he said and explained how the emotions associated with social interaction helped in arriving at a right perspective.

Dr S. Suriyamurthi, Director-MBA, presided. Dr. K. Abdullah Basha, Advisor-MBA, Dr. V. Shanmuganathan, Director- JJ Group of Institutions, and Dr. S.Sathiyamurthi College Principal offered felicitations.
