Australia’s nod for Aurobindo drug

Hyderabad, June 15

Aurobindo Pharma Australia Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, has received approval from Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Government of Australia, for the registration of Amlodipine Besylate tablets. The tablets fall under the central nervous system segment and are indicated for the first line treatment of hypertension. They can be used as the sole agent to control blood pressure in the majority of patients, the Hyderabad-based company infor med BSE. —
