Nestle India bags eco award

New Delhi, June 15

After an assessment of Nestlé India’s ongoing environmental initiatives, near its Nanjangud factory by a team of five environmental auditors and management experts, Nestle India was awarded the ‘Golden Peacock Environment Award’ on Saturday. Various initiatives undertaken by Nestlé India, such as the ‘Clean Drinking Water’ project for students in village schools and ‘Village Women Dairy Development Programme’, were test ament of its efforts to conserve water, save energy and reduce pollution.
