Jindal Saw bags Rs 1,000 cr worth orders

Mumbai, June 22 Jindal Saw Ltd, one of the largest saw pipe manufacturers, has bagged orders worth Rs 1,000 crore for supply of large diameter pipes and ductile iron pipes in domestic and export markets. The orders are scheduled to be executed by March, 2010.

While domestic supply orders are from GAIL and HPCL, the export orders are primarily from West Asia, said a press release from the company on Monday. With these orders, the total order book of Jindal Saw stands at about Rs 3,600 crore.

Part of $10-billion Jindal Group, the company provides total pipe solutions to the needs of the industry. Jindal Saw is the leading production hub of saw pipes, used mainly for transportation of oil and gas.

Multi-product company

With integrated facilities at multiple locations, Jindal Saw has diversified into a multi-product company, manufacturing large diameter submerged arc welded pipes and spiral pipes and bends for energy transportation sector; carbon, alloy and stainless steel seamless tubes manufactured by conical piercing process for industrial application and ductile iron pipes for water and sewage transportation.

The company also provides value-added products and services such as anti-corrosion coatings for pipe and bends, induction bends and connector casings.

Shares of the company in BSE rose 5 per cent at Rs 383 on Monday.
