Vijay Shanthi’s Lotus Pond project gets approval

Chennai, June 29 Vijay Shanthi Builders Ltd has obtained the Director of Town and Country Planning approval for its Lotus Pond residential project, according to information provided by the developer to the stock exchange.

The Rs 300-crore project coming up on the Old Mahabalipuram Road at Kelambakkam is to be completed in two years.

Construction is on in three shifts , the company said. Foundation work on the project, launched in January 2009, has been completed for four residential blocks.

Spread over 11.17 acres with 23 residential blocks, the company has priced the apartments in the affordable segment while retaining high-end features, says the announcement.

Over 1,200 apartments of one-to-three Bedroom-hall-kitchen from 363 sq.ft to 1,150 sq.ft are planned. Priced at Rs 2,600 a sq.ft, an apartment will cost from Rs 9.40 lakh to about Rs 30 lakh.
