Platinum jubilee meet

Hyderabad, July 1

The Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, will organise its mid-year meeting of the platinum jubilee year on July 2-4 at the IICT auditorium here. Founded by Nobel laureate physicist Sir C.V. Raman in 1934, the academy will conduct various programmes during the three-day scientific event. Apart from the special lectures on science by eminent persons, the scientific event will feature release of a book on `women in science' with the name Leelavathi's Daughters. - Our Bureau
